Como forma de mapear este padr{\~a}o de altera{\c{c}}{\~a}o da
cobertura fl orestal, o Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais
(INPE) criou o sistema DETER-B (Sistema de Detec{\c{c}}{\~a}o de
Desmatamento e Altera{\c{c}}{\~o}es na Cobertura Florestal em
Tempo Quase Real), que utiliza as imagens do Sat{\'e}lite
Sino-Brasileiro de Recursos Terrestres (CBERS-4) e o sensor AWiFS,
do sat{\'e}lite Indian Remote Sensing Satellite (IRS), com
resolu{\c{c}}{\~a}o espacial de 64 m e 56 m, respectivamente.
Esse sistema mapeia desfl orestamento e demais
altera{\c{c}}{\~o}es na cobertura fl orestal a partir de
{\'a}reas de 0,03 kmē. Nesse sentido, o trabalho objetivou
analisar a rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o entre o padr{\~a}o de desfl
orestamento e da degrada{\c{c}}{\~a}o e a dist{\^a}ncia das
estradas na mesorregi{\~a}o do Sudoeste Paraense, ao longo dos
anos de 2012 a 2015, utilizando os dados do DETER-B. As unidades
de conserva{\c{c}}{\~a}o n{\~a}o se mostraram efi cazes na
conten{\c{c}}{\~a}o do desfl orestamento e da
degrada{\c{c}}{\~a}o na mesorregi{\~a}o, dado a grande
propor{\c{c}}{\~a}o de detec{\c{c}}{\~o}es mapeadas em seu
interior. Neste per{\'{\i}}odo, a convers{\~a}o de {\'a}reas
degradas em desfl orestamento foi considerada baixa, com um total
de 8,85%, ao se comparar com outras pesquisas na regi{\~a}o. As
{\'a}reas desfl orestadas e degradadas concentraram-se nos
primeiros 2.500m de dist{\^a}ncia das estradas e em sua grande
maioria com {\'a}rea individual inferior a 0,25 kmē, comprovando
que al{\'e}m do desfl orestamento, as {\'a}reas degradadas
seguem o padr{\~a}o de diminui{\c{c}}{\~a}o da {\'a}rea
m{\'{\i}}nima individual desfl orestada evidenciada desde o ano
de 2004. ABSTRACT: In Amazons recent occupation history, the roads
have always had a strategic role to boost the forest cover loss.
However, nowadays, forest loss occurs in areas smaller than 0.25
Kmē. As a way to map this pattern of forest cover change, the
National Institute for Space Research (INPE) created the DETER-B
system (Near real-time Deforestation Detection and Forest Cover
Changes System) which uses images from the China-Brazil Earth
Resources Satellite Program (CBERS-4) and the AWiFS sensor, from
the Indian Remote Sensing Satellite (IRS) with a spatial
resolution of 64 and 56 m, respectively. This system maps
deforestation and forest cover changes of areas with 0.03 square
kilometers or more. Thus, the study aimed to analyze the
relationship between the deforestation and degradation pattern and
the distance from roads in the middle region of southwest of Paras
state, over 2012 to 2015, using DETER-B forest monitoring system
data. The conservation units were ineff ective in the containment
of deforestation and degradation on the middle region, because of
large proportion of mapped detections in its interior. In this
period, the convertion of degradated into deforested areas was
considered low, as a total of 8.85%, to compare with others
researches on the region. The deforested and degraded areas focus
in the early 2,500 meters of distance on the roads and mostly with
an individual area of less than 0.25 kmē, proving that beyond
deforestation, degraded areas has a pattern of decrease of the
minimum individual deforested {\'a}rea showed since 2004.",
